Rui Cao Tops Leaderboard with $232k Win

Rui Cao is having a great February at Full Tilt and made yet another +$200k score yesterday at the 2-7 TD tables

It was a very busy day at Full Tilt's nosebleed tables yesterday, with a full day's action much of which concerned Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. However, despite making some big scores and taking some bit hits, it was French pro Rui Cao who topped the daily leaderboard with a $232k win after success at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables.

Cao made most of his profit from an hour and a half afternoon heads-up session at $1k/$2k table Mika against Trueteller. In a one-sided affair, Cao lead from the start to end the 271 hand session up $195.4k. The remainder of Cao's winnings came from an earlier session at the $500/$1000 TD tables against Alex "PostflopAction" Kostritsyn, where he won $52k in 44 minutes around breakfast time.

Next up was Zugwat, who ended a seven hour session at the $1k/$2k 2-7 TD tables against Phil "Polarizing" Ivey with a $121.4k win. I say 7 hour session, but in reality it was over 10 hours long, as the paid played from just past 11pm on Tuesday night until 2.21am yesterday morning, when they took just a 4 minute break. As such, the two sessions appear on different daily results. During the first 3 hours, attributed to Tuesday's results, Zugwat won $91.3k

The session which counted towards yesterday's figures actually saw Ivey take a commanding lead of over $230k after four hours play. However, Zugwat hit an even bigger upswing during the last three hours, ending the session up $121.4k.

The other six-figure winner yesterday was Ike "luvtheWNBA" Haxton who took Isildur1 for $120.2k after a 50 min, 3 tabls session of $300/$600 PLO. It was a fairly even session, with Haxton certainly running better in most of the bigger pots. A more detailed review of this particular match (including big pots) can be found in yesterday's report

The was one of several six-figure sessions in which Isildur1 was involved yesterday, some good, some bad. He actually started the day with a tremendous $326.9k win over KPR16 at the $2k/$4k FLO8 tables from a one hour forty minute session. However, he was to end his day with a $246.8k loss to the same player. While the first session was just one way traffic in Isildur1's direction, the later match was a little more swingy. KPR16 came out with guns blazing, going up c.$190k within the first hour. However, less than 30 minutes later, Isildur1 had recouped the $190k and taken a $30k lead in the match. Just when it looked like the worm had turned, KPR16 had an even bigger rush, winning $280k in just over half an hour - winning almost every hand along the way.

In between the two KPR sessions Isildur1 obviously lost the $120k to Haxton, as well as $96k to thecortster at $2k/$4k 2-7TD. However, he was able to avenge this loss with a $132.9k win, prior to his last match with KPR16. After a hugely eventful morning, Isildur1 actually ended the day pretty much even.
